These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between North West Energy Assessors (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“the customer”, “you”) when purchasing or using our home energy assessment services. By placing an order, submitting your details, or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

 

We provide four types of home energy assessments:

• Quick Home Energy Plan (Remote) – a personalised digital overview based on the information you provide.

• Full Home Energy Review (Remote) – a more detailed digital assessment using the information you provide and any optional photos.

• In‑Person Full Home Energy Review – a physical visit to your property to assess current energy efficiency, review potential issues & improvements.

• In-Person Domestic Energy Assessment - a physical visit to your property to assess energy performance and produce an Energy Performance Certificate.

We aim to deliver accurate, helpful recommendations, but all advice is based on the information you provide and/or what can be reasonably assessed remotely or in person.

2. Customer Responsibilities

 

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about your property.

• Ensure you have permission to request an assessment for the property.

• Upload photos only if you have the right to share them.

• Allow us to begin work immediately once your order is submitted (for digital plans).

We are not responsible for inaccuracies caused by incomplete or incorrect information.

3. Digital Plans & Delivery

 

For the £19.99 and £49.99 remote plans:

• Your personalised plan is created using the details you provide.

• Delivery is typically via email or downloadable link.

• Delivery times may vary depending on demand, but we aim to complete most plans within the stated timeframe on our website.

4. In-Person Assessments

 

For the in-person Domestic Energy Assessments (EPC's) & in-person Home Energy Reviews:

• You must ensure safe access to the property.

• Someone aged 18+ must be present during the visit.

• If we cannot access the property at the agreed time, a missed‑appointment fee may apply.

5. Cancellation Policy

 

Digital Plans (£19.99 & £49.99)

 

These services are personalised digital products.
By submitting your details, you agree that we may begin preparing your plan immediately.

Because of this, your right to cancel ends once work has started, in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If you wish to cancel before we begin work, contact us immediately at northwestenergyassessors@gmail.com.

In‑Person Assessments starting from £59.99)

• You may cancel up to 48 hours before your appointment for a full refund.

• Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a fee.

• Missed appointments may be charged at the full or partial rate.

6. Refunds

 

Refunds are issued in accordance with our cancellation policy above.
We do not offer refunds for:

• Completed digital plans

• Assessments based on incorrect information provided by the customer

• Missed appointments (unless agreed otherwise)

7. Limitations of Advice

 

Our recommendations are based on:

• The information you provide

• Photos you upload

• Observations made during an in‑home visit

We cannot guarantee specific energy savings, grant eligibility, or installation outcomes.
All advice should be considered guidance, not a substitute for professional installation surveys.

8. Pricing & Payment

 

All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to update pricing at any time.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

 

We take your privacy seriously.
Your information is used only to complete your assessment and communicate with you.
